List a profile.

For inmates and family members ready to start the listing process. Inaugural cohort — first quarter is free.

Who can initiate.

Either the inmate themselves (via CorrLinks email or postal mail to the InsideLines processing address) or a family member acting on the inmate's behalf with written consent. Either path lands you in the same intake workflow.

What we need to list a profile.

  1. Inmate consent to be listed. Required before anything else. We'll send a structured consent message to the inmate via CorrLinks confirming they understand what a public listing is and agreeing to the listing terms. The consent message names what gets published on the profile (verified convictions, sentence, earliest release date, bio in their voice) so consent is informed.
  2. Bio. 300–500 words in the inmate's own voice. What they want correspondents to know about them, what they read, what they're working on inside, who they are. Specific over generic.
  3. Interests. 3–6 categories selected from the InsideLines interest list, or freeform.
  4. Correspondent preferences. Age range, language preference, what kind of conversation they'd want to have.
  5. Charges in the inmate's own words. We verify against BOP and PACER records; the inmate's framing is what publishes on the profile alongside the vetted summary.
  6. Photos. Up to 6 / 12 / 12 per Standard/Featured/Premier tier. Mailed to InsideLines processing or sent digitally by a family member who has access.
  7. Tier selection. Standard ($25/quarter), Featured ($40/quarter), or Premier ($60/quarter). First quarter free for the inaugural cohort.
  8. Payment method. Stripe online, check from inmate, money order, or family sponsor. See pricing page.

How long does it take.

From inmate consent acceptance to profile going live: about 2–4 weeks for the inaugural cohort. The variable that determines the timeline is mostly the inmate's CorrLinks terminal access cadence (which controls how fast they can respond to bio elicitation) and the vetting workflow (3 business days standard, 1 business day priority).

How to start.

Inaugural cohort intake is operator-led. To initiate the listing process, contact InsideLines:

Email: [email protected]
For inmates already subscribed to StayCloser: reply to any CorrLinks message from InsideLines with "InsideLines listing — yes" and the consent flow will initiate automatically.

If a family member is initiating on behalf of an inmate, include the inmate's first name, register number, current facility, and your relationship in the initial email. We follow up with the inmate-side consent step before any profile work begins.

Before you start

Please read the vetting and disclosure policy.

Verified convictions, sentence length, and earliest release date are published transparently on every profile. We do not categorically refuse to list inmates based on conviction category, but we reserve discretionary refusal for individual cases of active risk. Please review the full policy before submitting.
